Holy Tanking pt. 1

Well, I want to talk a bit about tanking as a Holy Paladin, as it's extremely doable, I'd like to think my current spec for Sylvina (check the armory profile) is more than equipped to do this for non-heroic 5-mans and even some off-tanking in Karazhan. However, I do want to touch on something in my last article real quick:

- Stupid Ogre Spirits for Ogri'la Pre-Req aren't exorcismable.
- Stupid Balnazaar in Stratholme is a Humanoid.
- Stupid Demon Hunters in SMV are Humanoids.

What I've noticed is that Blizzard doesn't have dynamic monster types, if a monster turns undead or demon they're still considered a human, which is really lame for Paladins since they have many abilities that focus on undead primarily.

Tanking Part:

Okay here's the tanking part, nothing fancy at the moment, and nothing too in-depth. I just want to break some things down for how a Holy Paladin tanks.

- Pull with Holy Shock

- Spam Consecrate as much as possible, you won't have Holy Shield or that fancy pants blessing.

- Use Kings on yourself, you'll need the extra +STA.

- Tank with Concentration Aura, since you're Holy spec, you should be able to spot heal yourself as necessary while tanking.

- Don't be afraid to use Lay on Hands, especially if you have the talent points in it.

Off-Topic:

My Shockadin topic got mentioned on WoWInsider's 'The Light and How to Swing It', yay, I feel special. Thanks again for asking me questions guys!

Not Demons/Undead my Ass!

As a Paladin I rely upon Exorcism pretty heavily for a part of my DPS, especially in the demon filled outlands. But recently, over time I have found a few mobs that simply just piss me off because they don't count as demons or undead.

Darkened Spirits in Nagrand for a quest line, these things are ridiculously hard to solo because they don't HAVE an enemy type, even though they'd most definitely fall under the category of 'Undead'. Also, those little 'Shadowfiend' looking guys in Arcatraz/Botanica/etc. If they aren't demons what the hell are they supposed to be? Another beef is the giant Metroid Eyeball thing in Blood Furnace... he's a Humanoid... are you shitting me?! Giant floating eyeball with tentacles... I don't see much Human about that, but whatever. The final one on my list isn't exactly not exorcismable, but maybe I'm missing something, Netherspite is classified as a 'Demon', but honestly he looks more like he'd be an 'Undead' to me... am I missing something in the lore? IS there something in the lore that explains this?

I'm sure there are a few others I have missed to complain about, maybe even some on Azeroth, if you know of any feel free to leave a comment pointing these dastardly bastards out.
